Child Safety & Safeguarding
Last updated: March 2026
Child safety is central to Hoor Academy. We expect every teacher, advisor and partner to prioritize respectful, appropriate and transparent interactions with learners.
Our Commitments
- Teachers are reviewed for suitability before teaching assignments
- Online sessions should take place in appropriate settings with a parent or guardian nearby when needed
- Communication about scheduling and progress should include parents or guardians
- Concerns about conduct are treated seriously and reviewed promptly
Online Classes
We encourage families to use shared family devices where practical, keep cameras and microphones settings intentional, and ensure a suitable learning space. Teachers should maintain professional boundaries and avoid private messaging with children outside approved channels.
Home Tuition
Home tutors should teach in an agreed visible area of the home. Families may request a male or female tutor based on preference and availability. Either party may pause sessions if safety or comfort concerns arise.
Reporting Concerns
If you have a safeguarding concern, contact us immediately at info@hooracademy.org or via WhatsApp/phone. Include relevant dates, names and a clear description of the issue. Where required by law, we may involve appropriate authorities.
Parents as Partners
Please supervise younger learners as needed, share accurate information about your child’s needs, and tell us promptly if a session felt uncomfortable or inappropriate. Together we can keep learning safe and positive.
